ClickLearning is a B2C product ,an online learning platform that connects learners with qualified educators, offering customized courses and real-time support. By leveraging technology,.Users can browse tutors, find the right match, and book sessions instantly, streamlining the learning process and eliminating unnecessary delays.
Project Overview
Following a kick-off meeting and initial research, our 3-week remote UX/UI sprint focused on reducing 90% of the manual scheduling work, which was causing inefficiencies and user drop-off. Many users struggled with navigating the booking process, leading to frustration and abandoned sessions. Our goal was to streamline the user journey from sign-up to booking, specifically addressing dead flows that created friction and hindered conversions.

Simple Checkout
The new design streamlines the process by consolidating scheduling into a single platform, removing the need to navigate multiple tools.
One design for all
The redesigned interface enhances transaction procedures by introducing a section for promo codes during the finalisation of payment.

Defining Success and Research Strategy
In collaboration with the founder, we set success metrics to identify pain points , develop a MVP to address these issues, and iterate designs based on user feedback.
Our research approach included heuristic evaluation, competitor analysis, and primary research through user interviews and usability testing.

Our research approach included heuristic evaluation, competitor analysis, and primary research through user interviews and usability testing.
The team began the competitive analysis while I conducted the heuristic evaluations. I also started reaching out to users from the list provided by the founder for interviews and usability testing, but none of them responded
To overcome this, I expanded recruitment efforts by reaching out to our personal networks.

In the mean time, a week after the project kicked off, we recruited 5 parents who have hired online tutor before , Click learning target users, and parents who are willing to hire one day.for feedback and platform testing. I led the creation of the usability test script, and teammate conducted 5 of the 6 interviews to explore user experiences and pain points. Key findings include:

I always check the qualifications of the tutor.
Understanding the users

I prefer a personalized tutor matching system.

It helps with my busy schedule and eliminates travel time.

I want to see improvement in my child’s grades.
We conducted task analyses of three competing demo tools, to pinpoint areas where users might drop off, with a particular emphasis on the steps from sign-up to choosing the tutor and finally, scheduling .

Calendly is the only platform that synchronizes calendars to coordinate between parties.

Most offer several time slots for tutors sharing options parents

Most offer option to use Promo code for checkout

“Out of School” offers recurring sessions option
Opportunity
How can we create a tool that helps parents easily find the right tutor for their child and schedule sessions without navigating multiple platforms?
Based on user interview insights, I created a persona that reflects key findings

Meet Allie ,parent of a 10 year old son
Allie Dalman is a single mother to a 10-year-old son and works full-time as a project manager. Her son has been having difficulty with math, and despite her best efforts to assist him, she has realized he needs professional support. Given her demanding schedule, Allie has decided that online tutoring would be the most convenient and effective option to fit her busy lifestyle.
1.To have an intuitive, all-in-one platform that streamlines the entire process
2.To access flexible, online tutoring sessions that seamlessly fit into schedule.
3.Finding a qualified educator her son will be excited to learn from
Finding a tutor with shared interests as her son
Frustrations
Goals
1.Tutors not connecting with her child or understanding his learning style
2. Online tutoring platform being difficult to navigate
Not being able to choose a tutor based on preference
3.Not knowing enough information about the tutors personals life and interests
Accordingly, we created a user flow that prioritized these features, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both parents and educators.

Learnings
Research on Educators flow : Plan to conduct additional research with educators to better understand their challenges and ensure the platform meets their needs.
Post-Interaction Feedback: After parents interact with the platform, I’ll collect their feedback to create an effective journey map that guides future improvements
Usability Testing: Moving forward, I plan to conduct more usability testing in the first phases of the project to capture early findings and make informed design decisions.
